• Production Editor: +
Responsible for all production work for assigned books, including creating text dummies (i.e., doing layouts), writing captions, and finalizing text types. Responsible also for communicating with text editors, photo researchers, typesetters, designers, and prepress operators on progress and the book's vision. Monitor books as they move through the production workflow and maintains the schedule so books come out on time. Works with production
team to implement appropriate tagging to and structuring of files for digital use. Works with e-content team to produce appropriate interactive and value-added material for Lerner Digital program. In some cases, especially on new series, the production editor will work closely with the designer and other editors to shape the visual content of a series.
• Editorial Director, Lerner Publications +
This position is responsible to monitor and direct the progress of all content in the imprint. The imprint's reading levels range from kindergarten through grade 8. The content topics are curricular, illustrated with photographs. The editorial director will be responsible for recommending to the publisher and editor in chief the digital and print content to publish each season that are consistent with the vision of the imprint. The editorial director will develop and acquire new photo-driven nonfiction series and new photo-driven nonfiction titles in existing series, as well as direct others in this work. The editorial director will be responsible for quality control and final editorial approval on all titles and digital content in the imprint.

Responsible for increasing market share through our inside sales rep force.
• Assistant Production Manager +
Responsible for efficient production by keeping track of costs, stock, film, books, inventories, reruns and purchase orders. Enter production and planning specifications in the Filemaker database, making layouts and batching covers. This position also assists in monitoring jobs in the production cycle, ordering paper and supplies. Work with VP/Production Director on strategizing new ways to hold down costs and new efficiencies in workflow.

• CSR, Digital Product & Ecommerce Specialist: +
Provide leadership and support needed for new product launches, and various direct marketing initiatives, keeping all stakeholders informed, confident and organized – with a constant focus on what our customers expect and need. Act as a proactive liaison between the customer service department and sales & marketing, shipping, information technology and accounting departments.
